Various bits and pieces I've made over the years.
SimCity 4 Regions
So far, the only regions I have available for SimCity 4 are ones I modified slightly to change the size of the cities. Given my love of sprawling metropolis-like cities, a little poking initially allowed me to replace the region grid with a 4x4 block of the largest-sized city blocks. After some more experimentation, I made a couple of regions that are actually larger than what the game will let you create by default. Without further ado, I present...
- Big City - A standard-sized region file, modified to consist of a 4x4 block of large cities, for 16 in total. Perfect for those of you who love to build sprawling metropolis-sized cities, and don't want to waste any space with smaller city blocks!
- Bigger City - Double the size of a standard SimCity 4 region and filled with large-size cities, this region should provide more than enough space for even the more adventerous of players to expand into. Due to being twice normal size, this region may load and run slower on older machines.
- Biggest City - Four times the size of a standard region, this sprawling monstrosity of a region houses a 16x16 grid of large cities, for a massive total of 256 individual cities! Be warned, this region will load much slower than a normal-sized one, and will run slowly on older computers.
- Jigsaw - The same size as Biggest City, but instead of all the cities being the same size, they're more of a mixed bag, with various sizes here and there in different patterns. This one has something for everyone, while still offering a truly vast area to expand into. As with Biggest City, this region will load slowly, and will probably run much slower than normal on older computers.
Doom II WADs
The following Doom II maps are designed for modern clients such as Doomsday, and may or may not function on the original DOS Doom II, due to inclusion of custom music and the like. These are no longer updated or supported.
- Quad Castle - A deathmatch map designed for around 4-6 players (though 8 are supported), consisting of a castle filled with twisting corridors and hidden weapons. There's a few nasty surprises here and there, plus some secret areas where the best weapons are kept.
- Gravecat's Rocket Arena v1.1 - This is your typical, standard rocket arena. It's fairly simple as far as maps go, but it was my first foray into map-making since I was a kid. There's four starting points, plenty of ammo and powerups lying around, plus a secret area in the middle which can only be opened by activating two switches.
Saitek Profiles
The following are some profiles I've made for various games, for use with the Saitek Cyborg 3D Rumble joystick. Click below to download the profile, along with extra information.
- World War II Online - A profile for WW2OL which mainly maps the joystick buttons to the default vehicle keys, meaning only a minimal in-game configuration is required. More details are available in the enclosed readme file.
PHP/LJ Link Code
It can be a pain to make
gravecat-style links to LiveJournals if you're not actually using an LJ, and writing the code by hand each time is just annoying. Enter my little link code segment, which does the hard work for you.
